Reconstructive Breast Surgery

Reconstruction after breast cancer is a key part of the healing journey. Siobhan is also an expert in reconstructive and oncological breast surgery and offers complex microsurgical breast reconstruction (DIEP flap using lower tummy tissue, or TUG/ PAP flap - using upper thigh tissue) both in the context of immediate breast reconstruction for breast cancer and delayed reconstruction following completion of cancer treatment.

Siobhan is an expert in all these techniques and will explain the options, ensuring the approach chosen is the right one for you and your body shape, and fits your lifestyle and desired outcomes.

  • “I was referred to Siobhan to discuss DIEP from my Breast Cancer Doctor due to a number of reconstruction problems I had had, with implants and expander and my body rejecting them. All I can say is that Siobhan has changed my life, this is the only way I can describe her. Siobhan is not only amazing at what she does, she genuinely cares. She totally understood my anxieties around having this surgery after having so many failed reconstructions. However she is a very confident surgeon who knows exactly what she is doing, which did put me at great ease.”

  • “Miss O’Ceallaigh changed my life. From my very first meeting with her, Miss O’Ceallaigh immediately put me at ease and filled me with confidence about her abilities. I’m now 4.5 months post op, and throughout the whole process she has never wavered in being warm, knowledgeable, compassionate (but not sentimental), supportive and practical. I felt so well prepared for the surgery because she had been so thorough with the information she shared with me. My reconstructive result looks absolutely spectacular, and her aftercare has gone above and beyond anything I could have hoped for.”
